ENDURO

Enduro is a style of racing where the overall race time is the sum of multiple timed stages.  It offers a bit more casual approach to racing as the uphill sections are not timed, only the downhill.  Don’t let that fool you though, there’s plenty of fitness an pedaling required to excel at this discipline.

On Vancouver Island, course designers do their best to show off the most fun descents that the riding areas offer.

The Enduro series consists of 6 events, with the overall standings determined by the best 5 results.

ENDURO RACING FAQS

Youth (Usually 1 Stage) Riders under 12 can choose this category if they want the shortest distance.

U15 (Usually 2 Stages)
For riders 14 and under, this new category in 2024 is for riders that want more than one stage but are not quite ready to step up to the U19 category.

U19 (Usually 3 Stages)
For youth 18 Years and younger, first time racers, and less experienced riders.
If you are a faster youth racer you can register for Jr Expert to get a longer more competitive course.

JR Expert (Usually full course 5 Stages)
For the faster riders under 19.  This category will challenge you technically but will be shorter that the Expert race.

Sport. (Usually 3 Stages)
If you are 19+ and want a less competitive category.  Could be your first race or maybe you aren’t too competitive but want to get out and enjoy some racing.   Abilities in this category can vary a lot but if you think of yourself as an intermediate rider you should probably race the sport category.

Masters 40+ (Usually full course 5 Stages)
The Masters will be racing a slightly shorter distance than the Expert riders. This will still be a challenging course.  If you’re 40+ and not up to the longer distance you are welcome to race Sport.

Expert (Usually 5 Stages)
This is our most competitive category.   Most racers in this category have raced a bunch, or at least ride a couple times a week for the past several years. Or maybe you’re a young ripper that is training to take on the Enduro World Series one day.  You can always register for this category if you just want the longest race possible.

Notes for all: If you placed in the top 3 consistently last year in your category (or in the overall) you should move up to the next category.

YES, If you want to race more than 3 events this year.  Riders without a Cycling BC Race License or UCI License will pay and additional $10 on top of registration to cover insurance costs.  This will provide the rider with accident insurance for the day of the race.  You are limited to 3 events without purchasing a license, so if you plan on more racing you should purchase a license at the beginning of the season.  CLICK HERE FOR CYLCING BC LICENSE OPTIONS

That’s a hard no… for now.  As the popularity of E-Bikes grows we will consider adding E-Bike categoies but for now many landowners do not permit the use of E-Bikes on the trails.

Registration closes on the Friday before the race.  Don’t wait till the last minute, previous years almost all of the races sold out well before the cutoff time.  Registration will be capped at 200-250 riders in 2024 depending on the venue.

Due to the demand for Enduro for 2023 we are not offering refunds.

We are also not offering transfers.

In the event of a major catastrophe please reply to your registration confirmation and we will see what we can to to help.  In most cases you should consider your registration fee a donation to the good people that build and maintain the trails that you love.

To make changes to your registration, please read your registration confirmation email.
