7 Categories:
Expert, JR Expert (Under 19) and Masters (40+) will all do the Long Course (5 Stages).
Sport & U19 will ride a shorter course of 3 Stages.
U15 will ride 2 Stages.
Youth U12 will ride 1 Stage.
*Racers can race in categories higher than their age. Ex. A 14-year-old can race in the U19 Category.
Pricing:
$85 Adult, $65 U19, $50 Youth
Race License: *’Provincial Race License’ or ‘UCI Race License‘
*If you do not have a valid Cycling BC Provincial RACE license, or UCI License you will be charged an extra $25 during registration ($5 for U19 riders) as a “non licensed rider”. According to Cycling BC in 2025 you are only allowed 3 non licensed races per year. If you plan on racing more than 3 races you must purchase a license. BBQ & Prizes:
Race entry includes a BBQ put on by TAWS Bike Garage and some sweet draw prizes from the sponsors! We will have some great swag so make sure you stay around for the fun giveaways!
Feed Station:
The on course feed station will be stocked with lots of great goodies from MATTHUW RONALD-JONES, Hornby Organic, and Pacific Point Market.

Parking
On race day, parking in the Mount Mahony Parking Lot & Shuttle Lot is reserved for race organizers, volunteers and Powell River Search & Rescue. Racers are not to park in the Mahony Parking Lot or Shuttle Lot.

08:00-08:30 – Shuttle from Ferry to Mt. Mahony. THIS SHUTTLE MUST BE PRE-BOOKED WITH TAWS BIKE GARAGE BY EMAILING:
08:30-11:00 – Race Package Pick Up – Race Packages can also be picked up THE MT. MAHONEY STAGING AREA on Saturday Night from 5-*;30 During the Klunker event

We have a lovely new climbing trail that will take you to the top of Fairies Wear Boots. Use it!
Course Pre-Riding:
Trails will be open all week, and the course will be 100% marked for Saturday morning.
There are no support services on Mount Mahony prior to Race Day Sunday. In case of emergency, please call 911.
Please clear the trail if you are off your bike.- Mahony Road is an active road, please watch for vehicles.
Shuttling will not be permitted after 12:00 on Saturday.

– Fastest time down big wheeler and just having a good time wins all the glory!
– Your bike must be either – Single Speed, Rigid, or Rim Brake, and must not be a full suspension to register.

– If you are camping at Inland Lake or Haywire Bay, please pedal in, or get shuttled to the venue, there will be plenty of tents to leave gear/food.
– If you are driving from town, there will be a parking marshal on Inland Lake Road to guide you to a spur road to park.
– No parking is available on Inland Lake Road. This road is busy with traffic and does NOT have space for parking.
Shuttling will not be permitted after 12:00 on Saturday July 12th.
