Hornby is a special place that can claim to be one of the birthplaces of mountain biking in BC. We hosted our first race in 1989 (the first of ten legendary Hornby Island Mountain Bike Festivals) and have been putting on races ever since.
Mount Geoffrey is small, only 1053 feet high, but almost all of it is public land, so there’s lots of space to race. We’ve put together 5 stags that we hope you will love. There will be a limited amount of on-site camping, and there are other accommodation options available for Hornby. For those who have to head back to the big island on the day of the race, you will get back to Vancouver Island as long as you are in the ferry lineup by 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 13, 2026
There will be no post-race food on site, so racers should plan ahead for post-race snacks.

Hornby Island is served by a very busy ferry system that often has long line-ups. Those hoping to come over on the race day will be taking their chances as there is no predicting what the traffic will be like. There are late ferries on Friday night, with the last ferry that will get you to Hornby leaving Buckly Bay at 9:30.
Note: on Saturday and Sunday, the last ferry off Hornby is at 6:00 pm. As long as you are in the lineup by 6:00 pm, the ferry will run to get you off that night.
Strachan Valley Farm
The race site is at the very end of Strachan Road. To get there, follow the main road all the way around the island. At the Co-op store intersection (the only 4-Way stop on the island), take a right and head toward Ford Cove. After about 3km, turn right onto Strachan Road and follow it to the end where you will find the race site.
Be aware that after about 800 meters on Strachan Road, a much larger road, Marylebone Road, turns left, don’t get fooled into taking it – Stay on Strachan.
On-Site Camping
We will be providing limited camping spots on Strachan Valley at the race site. The camping is simple with cold running water and an outhouse only. Please bring your own toilet paper and pack out your garbage.
Camping is cash only, $10 per person for one night, $15 per person for two. $20 for three. Kids 18 and under camp free. To reserve a spot, please email camping@electrom.ca
The Strachan Valley camping area will be open at 4:00pm on Friday. Riders can stay until Monday afternoon.

Each Island Cup Enduro Race counts for series points. Each placement is assigned a points value. Points will be calculated and overall titles awarded at the last Enduro race of the year.
The best 5/7 results are used when calculating the overall points. Attend at least 5 races this season to get the maximum points. You must attend 3 races to be eligible for the Overall Title.
Points are awarded every race to the top 30 in each category.
